Spenny Probes

Welcome to the first ever "Spenny Probes" with me James Spencer, my first guest is the big man himself lifelong Rangers supporter Duncan Nixon.
So Duncan are you glad that Alex McLeish is going?
I'm well pleased Mcleish has gone at the end of the season as he belives that he's a poor tatically naive manager/coach and he hopes for the love of god that he takes Barry Ferguson with him as he's been crap ever since he went to the pit that is known as Ewood Park.
Are you happy wit the news that Paul La Guen, is set to take over in the Summer?
Is it true that you started rumours about Graham Souness returning to Ibrox?
Yes, but in my defence. I only did this as anybody other than him would be a bonus.
Not a fan then?
I belive that anybody who leaves Rangers should not be allowed to come back!
Ala Barry Ferguson?
Indeed.
This season has been one of frustration, what are expectations for the final few months?
Well, realistically a Champions league semi final berth would be nice, as well as stuffing Celtic on their own patch.
So are you looking forward to the upcoming Final 16 tie with Spanish side Villareal?
Yes, can't wait. Prediction 2-1 at Ibrox and 1-1 at El Madrigal
The Champions League has been something of a breath of fresh air this season, how important is it for us to to finish 2nd and qualify for next seasons competition?
Very, but it's not going to happen, i'm afraid we'll have to settle for the UEFA cup.
Your expectations don't seem high at all, does Hearts recent patchy form not give you any hope at all?
No, as we seem to have the same patchy form as well.
Well i for one hope that you are wrong as i have a £10 bet with some geezer at work that we'll finish above Hearts.
The Rangers defence has had major problems this problem this season, who fault is this?
The fault lies with Alex Mcleish, his chopping and changing of players is not the way that you build a understanding at the back. As you need to know who you are playing along side.
Marvin Andrews was a revelation last season but since a cruciate knee ligament injury last season he's been nowhere near the player he was. Should he have put his relgious beliefs to one side and got the problem sorted when it first arose?
In my opnion it has nothing to do with his knee, it's the people he's been playing with. Big marvs good at what he does, you need to let him attack the ball and let somebody else pick up the pieces. Not Kyrgiakos!
He'll be on his way back to Greece in the Summer, will you be sad to see him leave?
No!!!
There are a good few Scottish players now in the Rangers Squad, is this the way forward?
Only if they are good enough.
Both Hearts and Hibs and to a lesser extent Kilmarnock (where is that)? Have closed the gap on the Old Firm teams this season. Do you belive this is due to a dramatic loss of form from the Glasgow teams or have they raised their game?
No, it's due to bad form from the Old Firm.
In the long run will a more competitive SPL be good for the Scottish game?
Errr Yeah, well it has to be a good thing.
It sounds as if Rangers will have a bit of money to play with in the Summer. Realistically what players would you want to see training at Murray park come July?
Well first of all i don't think that a bit of money is good enougth i think we need alot of money. But Craig Gordon first and foremost. Scott Brown and Derek Riodan, and Reo Cocker who's currently at West Ham.
Unfortunatly my sources tell me that Derek Riodan is willing to let his contract run down so that he is able to go to Celtic Park.
Well if thats the case i don't want the little shit.
Well Spoken big man.
Thanks for sparing a few precious minutes answering a few questions, have you got any last words?
On a final note i'd like to get rid of Peter Lovendkrands cos he's shit and give Carcarry from the reserves a run out.
Again thanks for your time, we'll do it again soon.
